I include stress in my practice areas knowing full well that this is not a clinical diagnosis but a very serious condition that can overwhelm and debilitate us in our lives. Experiencing chronic stress or acute extreme stress both cause the release of neurochemicals and hormones in our body to combat the symptoms related to stress. Job, relationships, children, parents, all are external forces that can create stress in our lives that sometimes need the support and guidance from an outside source to better manage. Tools and strategies for coping with stress is a common area that I address with my clients.
