In all of the years of my practice, and in fact life, I have not witnessed what anyone would call the perfect relationship absent any stress, strife or conflict. The definition of a relationship means that we are two separate individuals that are coming together working to manage separate ideas, backgrounds, and attitudes in a way that respects and encourages cooperation and collaboration. It simply isn’t realistic to assume that this always happens given people are individuals. My goal is to provide a template for success that includes strategies and suggestions that help couples work through complex issues of everyday life. Often this focuses first on the area of expectations and always includes communication and identifying how this can improve the overall experience of the relationship.
